Note to self don't watch really interesting but scary documentaries late on a week night. SBS has some really good docos on tuesday night. Tonight watched one about the Jonestown cult murder/suicide in 1978. I had heard about it and the Kool-aid but never realised the full extent of the horror and drama of what happened.
I found it significant that in the pavilion in Jonestown there was a sign that said something like
Learn from the Past
Now to find some comedy to settle my brain down.

Does anyone have any recommendations on backpacks? A few of us need them for Japan, and while we won't be moving too much the first week (8 days in tokyo) the second week we'll be spending a fair amount of time on trains etc. . .
How much is reasonable to pay for one? I expect I'll be using it a fair bit over the next couple of years (having already got three trips planned for the next 9 months). So I'm happy to spend a little more now to feel comfortable that it is going to last.

05:29 pm - I smell a change in the air . . .
Spent the afternoon cleaning, something i'm not much of a fan of. Not because of the chore itself, but the opportunity it gives my brain to think unfettered by distractions. I found various cards/letter/notes from Nicole mixed in with my paper work, pulled a few heartstrings i must admit. There is a feeling of impending change at the moment, not sure what it is but it is coming . . . wonder what it is? Japan maybe? Work? Where there is much possibility for change, for the good though. ^_^
I had a dream last night, the fact i remember it is remarkable in itself as I never remember my dreams. Not going to share the subject here as it was rather personal (no not sexual ;P) but it has me thinking . . . very hard.
Funny sunday all up. ^_^

I still cannot believe the travesty of justice going on with the poor indian doctor up in Queensland. Held for days without charge, then released on bail into the waiting arms of the immigration department who cancel his visa and put him back behind bars.
AND NOW it looks like the evidence against him is circumstantial at best. Even if he is guilty of supporting the attempted bombings in the UK surely the government can manage to find that out without violating his rights as a human!

We won our second Volley Ball game in a row . . . and it was the second game of the season! 39-36 so it was hard fought for and it felt like it!
btw. We are still on the look out for another female player. So if anyone is interested or knows someone who may be interested . . .
